Tyler County Warrant Records Tyler County Warrant Records

For an official Tyler County warrant answer, reach the agency or court that holds the case. Records are spread across different court levels, so the right contact depends on whether the paperwork concerns a felony, county misdemeanor, or citation. The sheriff can address its own records, while an issuing clerk can explain a court case. This private site cannot confirm a warrant or change a government file. Start with the paper you received. The office on it is the best route.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. For an official answer, reach the sheriff’s office or the issuing court directly.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Use the case document, court name, and cause number to choose an office. If a notice is not available, describe the known court date, citation, offense, and approximate filing period without assuming one office can search every Tyler County court.

  • Sheriff-held or custody questions: Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, 702 N. Magnolia Street, Woodville, TX 75979, non-emergency (409) 283-2172; corrections (409) 283-6331. The county did not publish a public online warrant list or warrant-desk hours. Its formal public-records requests must be written and can be sent to publicrecords@co.tyler.tx.us.
  • Felony and district criminal files: Tyler County District Clerk, 100 W. Bluff Street, Room 203, Woodville, (409) 283-2162; 1A and 88th District Court coordinator, (409) 283-5334. The District Clerk page and a later county notice show different public hours, so confirm before travelling.
  • County criminal misdemeanor files: Tyler County Clerk, 116 S. Charlton Street, Woodville, (409) 283-2281. Ask whether the cause is a County Court matter before requesting a warrant status.
  • Class C traffic or ordinance matters: call the justice-of-the-peace court or municipal court named on the citation. The four Tyler County JP precinct phones are Precinct 1 (409) 283-3631, Precincts 2 and 3 (409) 283-6320, and Precinct 4 (409) 429-9500. The official JP court directory identifies each precinct and its forms.
  • Woodville city citations: Woodville Municipal Court, 400 W. Bluff Street, (409) 283-3255, court@woodville-tx.gov. The city lists weekday counter hours as 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with lunch closure from noon to 12:30. Its court FAQ and payment page apply to Woodville cases only.
  • Ivanhoe city citations: Ivanhoe Municipal Court, 870 Charmaine Drive East, (409) 444-7048, court@cityofivanhoe.texas.gov. The court is open by appointment on weekdays; call to arrange a visit. Its payment provider says full payment is required for a warrant and that clearance may take two to three business days.
  • Colmesneil or Chester questions: Colmesneil City Hall publishes general contact details but no warrant portal was located. The research found no Colmesneil or Chester entry in the 2025 OCA municipal-court directory. In either town, confirm the court printed on the citation; do not transfer Woodville or Ivanhoe procedures to an unverified office.

For a public-record request, describe existing records as specifically as possible, including the office, case number or date range, and record type. The county says it does not have to answer a question or create a continuing report in response to a request. A written request is separate from calling a clerk for a current case status, and statutory exceptions can limit what is released.

A city payment page is not a county warrant search. Woodville and Ivanhoe use different municipal processes, while the four JP precincts handle their own cases. The county’s sheriff page supplies phone and office information but does not expose a public lookup form. If a court confirms that a matter has been recalled, served, or paid, ask how soon the official record will reflect that action.

Official starting points: Tyler County Sheriff, District Clerk, Woodville Municipal Court, and Ivanhoe Municipal Court.

Choose the clerk by the court level named in the paperwork. The District Clerk maintains felony and other district-level criminal files for the district courts. The County Clerk keeps County Court criminal-misdemeanor records. A JP office handles its own precinct cases, while a municipal clerk answers for that city’s traffic and ordinance dockets. If a case moved to a later court, ask the original office which clerk now holds the file and whether a cause number changed.

Operational details can change. The county’s District Clerk webpage and a later county notice showed different public hours during research; the notice described a schedule change beginning August 5, 2026, while the department page still showed a weekday schedule. Confirm current counter hours by phone before travelling. The Sheriff’s Office page does not publish warrant-desk hours, so ask the general non-emergency contact to route the question.

Texas does not offer a public statewide warrant search for residents. DPS OmniBase can show reported failure-to-appear or failure-to-pay status affecting license renewal, but DPS says its specialists cannot tell callers whether a warrant exists. If a license hold appears, identify the reporting court and ask that court for status. The hold does not prove a particular warrant, bond amount, or current case action.

Colmesneil City Hall publishes its general municipal contact at 204 W. Elder Street, (409) 837-5211, cityofcolmesneil@valornet.com, weekdays 7:30 a.m.–noon and 1:00–4:30 p.m. No local warrant portal was found. Chester also had no municipal-court entry in the 2025 OCA directory checked during research. For either town, use the court shown on the citation; do not assume the county email or a nearby city payment link can search a town file.
